AZGTi saddle

I never liked the AZGTi saddle so i thought hmmm if i remove this and bolt this on i will have a non marring saddle.
I removed the tin cover inside the clamp that hides 4 screws removed the clamp.
I dug out a saddle from the spare parts box and i had 3 but 2 had pre-drilled holes in the centre that didn’t line up with the AXGTi mount holes but the ADM saddle had no pre-drilled holes so i removed the AZGTi saddle and clamped it on the back of the ADM saddle and drilled 4 holes and i now need to go the the bolt shop on Monday and get the correct length bolts then countersink the holes,,,,,easy-peasy.

Good idea Al, I just picked up an Az-GTi last week and a saddle yesterday to do a similar conversion.
My saddle already has 4 holes at 35mm centres so I am going to turn up an adapter on the lathe that will have the 4 holes at 28mm centres as per the mount and a pair of holes at 35mm for the saddle....

I made an adapter today and fitted the little clamp, much better and doesn't damage the dovetail bars polished surface...
The adapter has a 20mm Ø spigot at the back like the original and is attached to the mount with the original screws.
It also has a centering spigot on the front and two M6 tapped holes for the saddle

AZ-GTi Saddle

I was inspired by Matt to change the clamp to a smaller one.
