Certainly a different optical design. Cheaper but i have reservations as to whether it could be used to do anything other than exoplanets. Seems like it would have a very narrow corrected FOV. Much cheaper but a one trick pony... not a bad thing, just an observation.

I know they propose the Canary Islands or Atacama, but I've got some space in Murrumbateman if there's a grant involved.

Of course it would need to come with a large observatory room and have to have some 'other' equipment...you know, just the normal very high quality refractors, reflectors, best quality mounts, cameras etc...just to provide a parity check to the data coming from it.
