Farmhouse Milky Way

I captured a farm house at Barrington Tops NSW a few weekends ago and some Milky Way.

Canon EOS R, Sigma Art 14 1.8 at F2.2. 6 x 30 seconds ISO 3200. Processed in Lightroom, Sequator and PT Gui plus Photoshop.

Fornax Lightrack ii mount on a carbon fibre tripod and gimbal.

Nice image Greg. Are those flames coming out of the chimney?

Sparks from the fireplace. Over 30 seconds and several images stacked its made it seem like flames.

A beautiful image, Greg. And that Sigma lens is really sharp at F2.2. Love the warming glow of chimney fire - very atmospheric!

Thanks Richard.

It was a cold night and the fire had just been loaded up.

Great Milky Way. Love the shack and sparking chimney. Interesting that the image is on a tracking mount. Is tracking time varied or is the foreground composite?

Pretty neat framing Greg. The flames out of the chimney extending into the milkyway arc. All you need is santa's sleigh and you have a christmas postcard.

It's a lovely nightscape Greg and the red/orange glow and sparks from the chimney takes it up another level since you wouldn't normally see those colours at that sort of saturation.

Best

No the same 30 second tracked exposures. I use the freeze ground option in Sequator and it worked well here. It doesn't always work well. I think it is less effective when more time has elapsed between the first and last images.

It was good timing the fire had just been loaded up with lots of firewood.
