Alpha 1 Cru, Eta Lup, Epsilon Nor & Beta Mus

Hi

More multiple stars from 17th July 2007. The relatively small aperture of the Mewlon (at 180mm), coupled with the DBK meant that I was able to get some reasonable splits despite the 3 to 4/10 seeing.

AVI’s were 1600 frames and I was able to use between 1 and 82 frames.

Cheers

Dennis

Thanks Glen - these were taken way back in 2007 and I must get out and image this genre again with all the new tools, cameras and SW introduced since then.

Cheers

Hi Dennis,

Great images. Double stars can be hard to photograph.
I’ve missed your posts.

Dennis! You sat on that data for 13 years? Wow. Was that captured during the infamous talk to the mount evening?

Enjoyed the images, thanks for sharing, this is a little plumbed niche of astronomy that is worth further time being spent on.
I did take a few avis' of Alpha Centauri and Alpha Crucis with an old Toucam many years ago and the results were encouraging but haven't got back to giving it another try despite having better cameras now.

Hi David

No, this was originally posted on 19-07-2007, 12:55 PM and has just been brought back to life from the dim, dark archives by Glen.

I am still living in shame that it was only a G-11 that I struck up a one sided conversation with.

Be well in these challenging times.

Cheers

Dennis
