As expected... 100% cloudy, it is raining a bit too, and the clouds are really black and evil.

Well, I really wanted to watch it at my beach, but it was nice online too. I mean - better than nothing.... I have taken photos of the screen haha, yes, photos, not screenshots.... They seem to have turned out fine.
I could hear the rain outside while watching.

OK, DESPITE inclement weather and pervading clouds I managed some shots off Mt Albert. Excuse the quality as it was shot through clouds.
SONY SLT A77v ISO800, 2 secs f5.6.

Windy as blazes, I threw away dozens of blurred images

Another pic later as it brightened. The glow is the clouds over and around it.

Very red in Brisbane. Clouds cleared, mostly. My position was quite bad for the peak of the eclipse, but I managed to run around the neighbourhood and see it. Have a mix of pics to process.

Only one I've done so far is one with the Moon, Mars and Spica:

Expecting nothing, I was pleasantly surprised to get a 5 minute glimpse of the Moon about 50% eclipsed here in Dunedin. Enough time to set up the 60mm for a closer look. It really was better than nothing.
