Cool Astro or full spectrum DSLR mod?

Thinking of getting a DSLR modded or perhaps buying a modded camera. Just wondering if to go with just an 'Astro' mod (with only the Low Pass filter 2 removed) or the full spectrum mod with both LPF 1 & 2 removed.

I'm leaning for just the astro mod, but what are the benefits/pitfalls of going full spectrum?

full spectrum will allow you to take those funky day time shots in IR.
If all you're doing is astro, do the astro mod.

full spectrum - but I would recommend - in conjunction with the mod putting in an astronomik ccd-cls clip in filter (or similar) - predominantly to control star bloat.

I use a 1000D with a FULL full mod, both filters removed, for Spectroscopy.
Works well for me, but you will loose the automatic focusing.
It will not infinity focus with standard camera lenses unless you add a CLR (clear) clip-in filter.
Other than that, no other issues..
You have similar issues with the standard mod but the remaining filter still acts as a UV-IR cut filter. The enhancement of the Ha sensitivity is significant going from around 20% to 80%
