It puts my first ever to shame, but I will post it anyway for a laugh. Taken on my Phablet (Nokia Lumia), through hthe eyepiece on my Celestron 4SE, it was the second night of our journey into telescopes. Yes, I am a very raw beginner.
Cheers,
Andrew

Nice shot!
Clavius is one of my favourite ones too.
It was my first session with the NexImage 5. Ironically it was one of the clearest sessions, maybe because it was just before it got hot (I got the NI at the beginning of October).
PS: Why don't you tell your daughter to join IIS?

From memory...could be wrong...someone here will know for sure...wasn't Clavius the crater the Monolith was discovered buried within in 2001 A Space Odysee?

Erroneously I did. Further reading from your link reveals that to be the base from which the moon astronauts travel to Tycho where the Monolith (TMA-1) is located. Thanks!
