Clavius

My daughter snapped this shot through my 8" Dob with an I-phone 5...thought it was decent enough to post...

Shaun,

Very nice shot. Maybe a career in the making?

It puts my first ever to shame, but I will post it anyway for a laugh. Taken on my Phablet (Nokia Lumia), through hthe eyepiece on my Celestron 4SE, it was the second night of our journey into telescopes. Yes, I am a very raw beginner.

Cheers,
Andrew

Nice shot!
Clavius is one of my favourite ones too.
It was my first session with the NexImage 5. Ironically it was one of the clearest sessions, maybe because it was just before it got hot (I got the NI at the beginning of October).
PS: Why don't you tell your daughter to join IIS?
