Hyperstar & RASA (f/2 imaging) - why do some consider this cheating?

Can someone explain why 'cheating' has been associated with capturing the night sky? The term seems counter-productive to the hobby.. surely its a very minor vocal group who think this right?

Enjoy the hobby in whatever way you see fit and ignore any silliness.

Cheating, what cheating
As long as you are not "doctoring" your images by adding things that were not there in a first place, so the images are result of captured photons only, it is OK.

They probably wax their moustache and iron the Times.....

When you can get in 2 hours what would take 7 or 8 with another scope you're in front
