Hi J,
Look at for sale advertisements of similar or identical gear either here in the classifieds section, archives section or on eBay or Facebook marketplace. If you still can't find anything to guide you then something between 50% to 75% of the new price generally gets you in the ballpark.
Best

Usually 50-60% of the final price, remember there is a recession of sorts currrently and people are not prepared to pay a premium the price has to be fair and negotiable.
Things to factor in is postage of bulky items. Look around for a decent courier etc.

Probably more a cost of living crisis, end result is basically the same, people have less disposable income to fund toys, hobbies, holidays or most things many people will deem unnecessary for basic survival.
From NEWS stories I read it's hitting extremely hard with a major housing crisis in near every state where rents have risen dramatically in just the past 12 months, as for buying the house, that's what Thursdays $200,000,000 draw is for, a two bed, one bath, half a car (or pushbike) in any major capital city.
Maybe slightly over exaggerated but just making a silly point, things have gotten out of hand everywhere and no sign of relief in immediate sight.

The price you ask is a function of your desperation to move it out. You will notice there are more sellers than buyers, and this is not unusual.

I generally compare how much I have used it, to how much i paid for it and general value on places like this and go from there. I am someone who would rather move it for a little less than try and squeeze every dollar out of it if that makes sense.

Case in point, someone here is selling a mount which, second hand, sells between 850-1400 depending on its condition and age, this one is significantly more and imho unsellable at that price so it depends on many factors, as Manesh said above, move it for a little less (bur reasonable for you) if you really want to sell it rather than let it sit in the classifieds for months

Supply, demand, and whatever people are prepared to pay. A week ago I counted 24 refractors for sale here on ICE in Space. Most of them small style astrographs. So its not a sellers market in refractors right now. If you have to pay the rent, then looking at your telescope is of second importance. Most people over estimate the resale value of their gear. Which is why a lot sits around for months.

I thought it was priced way too high when I saw it.

He only has 9 posts. New member, perhaps unfamiliar with 2nd hand pricing.
I generally don't buy from anyone who doesn't have a decently long membership in IIS and fair number of posts.
And sure, if the person is asking more than the new price, I either ignore it or if I know them, send them a polite PM telling them they are listing above the RRP. If I don't know them, I leave them alone.

The more high end the scope the less of a discount.
Tak, AP, APM, CFF hold their value somewhat. AP the best.
The more plentiful the steeper the discount.
Greg.
