I took this a while ago.

CDK17 F6.8 and FLI ML16.

Nice one Greg ...are you sure that wasn't taken with the RHA...? there are no diffraction spikes..

A hard one to work with. You've shown it as a rich, thick, interesting stew of dust, gas, and star formation. Well done.

I did a double take on this myself. I do have RHA data on M78 and its much more widefield. The CDK doesn't make particularly pronounced diffraction spikes, usually on bright stars only. But yes it had me looking twice on this point!

Yes perhaps a bit too much purple. Its a funny area colourwise and I do think there is some purple in the area.
