Australia Post

Now I know how managers in AP have half a million salaries or more.
Yesterday tracking showed delivery today (Wednesday 23 Sep), today is totally different situation.
Can somebody tell me what actually mean: It will be left, if it is safe to do so???

Does it mean, if one doesn't have blood thursty animal in his front garden???

They just don't care! Blame it on covid, if it exist after all these lockdowns.

Or they will do what they mostly do, just drop it on your doorstep, AP are a world unto their own their contract parcel delivery staff rarely follow policy, that is why I decided on using their a parcel locker facility

Wife was expecting a parcel yesterday and was on the verandah when a delivery van pulled up, guy jumped out, put notice in letterbox and drove off before she could yell out. Contractors just don't want to walk at all apparently. Yes she contacted AP and put in a complaint.

That amazingly bad and sad that it has come to this.

Managers and staff seem to have targets these days, and the biggest ar*#*#*es who give the worst service get the pats on the back and given rewards by managers that are too stupid to know that the big achievers are cheating.

Well, that's been my experience many years ago. (I was employed elsewhere, and not as an employee of Aust Post).

It just depends on the Australia Post drivers.
We have a 100m driveway.

Some just leave the parcel at the Post Office and leave no card - I figure it out either by tracking number or getting a second card saying the parcel is about to be sent back to sender.

Some leave a card - even though the gate is open, and they couldn't be bothered driving down the driveway.

Others are really excellent.
Regards,
Renato

I have said this before. We are blessed out here in the bush with having AP contractors who are local people that we know. One even drove up to the house (3.5km) with a parcel she thought was too valuable to leave in the mail box. The courier companies wont deliver here.

hit and miss here.
our house is more than 50m from the mailbox, policy is they wont drop off if house is more than 50m from mailbox.
everyone in our area has a house more than 50m from driveway.
stupid, as i pay for postage but still have to drive 20min into town to pick up my stuff at 4pm minimum when it travelled right by my house earlier on in the day.
i was told to wait at end of driveway if expecting something.
shabby service imo. rant over.
