It’s also very dated ... looks like it was written in the 1980’s or early 90s judging from the scopes it doesn’t list, particularly the Intes maks. And the really important unicorns - the big premium maks from Intes, Ceravolo, Santel, AP, TEC clearly post-date it.
Flash there’s probably an article worthy of CN listing the known manufacturers and models from the work by D D Maksutov, the beginnings of Questar, Celestron and Meade, listing the various Intes variants as well the likes of Santel, Ottiche Zen, Ceravolo, AP, TEC, Bosma, Bresser, Explore Scientific, Saxon (yes them too), Skywatcher and a few others.
One aspect interesting about that lot is how many have had a go at making maks, vs how few have attempted SCTs. This excludes the rebranders...

As it says on the frontispiece it was issued in 2013. It is an update on earlier issues, so much of it was almost certainly written a long time ago.
It does discuss the Intes 65/66/67 on pages 136/140. It refers to Intes
going out of business in 2006, so was definitely updated at a later date than that. It seems to conclude with models produced around the turn of the
century, and does mention the Celestron 6SE and 8SE in passing, and also mentions Celestron passing into the hands of Synta.
Anyway, lots of interesting stuff.

My old Powerstar iv c8 beast is in there. Still works.
OTA still provides a good view. Just don’t load it up ,and it has no capacity for the drive to reverse. Although I have have changed that with an onstep update that is a work in progress while the OTA relaxes in a deforked state.
