Aunt passed away

Hi guys,

Our dear 100 year old Aunt got over Covid then slipped and fell in her Nursing home broke her hip about a week prior and has now passed away.

She just never got over it but was still cracking jokes until the Morphine rendered her unable to communicate.

She was always ready to meet up with her Brothers and Sister that went before her, but would have preferred to just not wake up one morning.

She said, "I just keep waking up", maybe next time, she was happy to discuss that on numerous occasions

She had a good innings, as the saying goes and is now at peace and pain free.

She was 100years 6 months and one day old

Thank you Leon.

commiserations Leon on your loss. My MIL is 97.5 yo but unfortunately has dementia but otherwise in very good health only taking 1 5mg bp tablet as she has had heart arythma(s) for the last 30 years. She also doesn't want to continue but so far keeps waking up. I think she will make 107 going on the fitness.

100 years is a great life I hope you celebrate her life and mourn her loss but for her to reach 100 and still have her wits about her is a great achievement. Commiserations for your loss Leon.

Leon, sorry to learn of your family’s loss.

My wife’s Grandmother was nearly 110 when she passed and it was great fun to listen to her tell stories of her life,I am sure it was the same for your Aunt.

I think it is remarkable to consider the change that she saw in her lifespan. So many things that we take for granted came into existence during her watch…incredible
