6D or 7D

I was thinking about installing a DSLR in my remote observatory. Not sure if I’ll use a camera lens or a telescope for the optics. I’m leaning toward a camera lens because of the ease of remote focus.

But the real question here is given a choice which camera would you put in there, a Canon 6D or 7D? I like the 6D because it’s a full frame camera and think it might have lower noise, but that is just a guess I never tested it.

The reason I am only looking at the 6 or 7D is I already own them. I have other Canon DSLRs but these are the most remote friendly one that I own.
Thanks in advance.

6D.

The 7D has issues with noise past ISO-800.

With the 6D, you can image at ISO-6400 with ease.

6D is the clear winner for astronomy. 7D is the winner for wildlife (& probably other fast moving stuff like sport). So you should have no debate, go with the 6D.
