M83

Hello All,

probably someone remember me ... i posted here some years ago.
I'm an AP from Italy and my name is Leonardo. I want to show you this unusual rendition of M83:

http://www.starkeeper.it/M83Deep.htm

The data are coming from a wonderful sky and is the first time for me to process an object on the other side of night sky. Data acquired from "Voyager" ... my automation software.

Sorry for bother you, all the best
Leo

Really nice Leo, nice capture for the Northern Hemisphere. I love the details in the background galaxies and clusters

Magnificent, Leonardo. We were unaware of the tidal stream. It is outside our usual field.

Well done.

That's a great M83, Leo, not often you see one that deep... I can only think of one that I've seen that's in the same ballpark. Nice and sharp too. Well done!

Fantastic result Leo, your showcasing of all the best bits in the field is excellent Love all the scattered somewhat remote, clusters of blue stars hovering outside the edge of the galaxy and the tie fighter wings, on the smaller of the two satellite galaxies, are well shown too, nice.

That outer star stream is not often revealed either, I was able to show it in a stretched version using my 6" APO some years ago but it is nice to see it integrated well in a full colour image

Mike

Muma Mia Leo! Awesome work.

Now I want to reimage M83 if I could scrabble together that much imaging time.

Greg.

Bother us? You can bother us any time you like with stunning images like this. Can't believe you got such a great result unguided!

Thanks for sharing

PS. I don't want to look at my M83 anymore, it depresses me!

Very deep integration and well presented! Great detail and colour in the galaxy, love how you’ve managed to capture the extended tidal streams
