Solar disk 4-2-19

Not much other than a few small areas and another small sunspot appearing.
ST80 , 0.5x reducer , Quark and 2 frame mosaic.

Marc,
I’m glad you managed to get clear skies which allowed imaging.
Nice results.
I would suggest you test some tuning settings. You will be able to get some improvement in the contrast of the small filaments.
Well done!

Only a brief period of sun today so it was a quick one . I need to play with tuning just done it rough for now but seems pretty close at default.
I'll post a closer image of the sunspot

Lovely detail once again, excellent images. No sunshine today down here, there may have been some but I must have blinked.
It will be interesting in a few years time as old Sol ramps up toward another maximum in its cycle with so many Ha scopes around now.

We haven't seen the sun up here in FNQ for almost a month...

I have a lovely new acquisition (Lunt 60mm PT) just sitting here waiting for action...

Love your pics though.. keep em coming...

How do you find the 0.5x reducer... I'm looking at getting one as my ASI 224MC won't do full disk as it is...

Planning on trying out my Orion SSAG for mono but, still not sure if it will do full disk...

You've had a lot of rain that's understandable.
The 0.5x works well and gives a lot more disk as the Quark has a built in 4.2x barlow so the 0.5x is very helpful but does vignette . I don't get fulI disk I have to stitch 2 imagea at least . I have a asi224 the 174 is quite a bit bigger and for solar only need mono.
