Qhy9 percent gain to true gain

Not sure the correct terms to use but i short I'm looking for a non-percentage value for the gain. Currently qhy displays the gain as a percentage value but i need a whole number value to use in sgp to calculate the ideal exposure time.

Thanks
Tony

It depends on each camera as they are all different.
see here:

or if you're lazy like me & most people
just use gain of 3% and offset of 115.
That should mean that you won't peak out the top at:
2 to the power of 16 = 65536.

If you come close at 50,000 to 60,000 it will be OK.
You can check it with Maxim DL on bright saturated stars.
What value do they read?
PS - make sure you use only slow readout.

cheers
Allan
