Program for calculating Canon DSLR actuations

Hello all,
Found this on my travels...

"This is a simple utility to retrieve the number of shutter actuations on the following DIGIC III/IV cameras: the 40D, 50D, 450D (XSi), and 1000D (XS). It will not work on any of the 1D* series, 5D* series, nor any of the XXXD cameras prior to the 450D."

Windows/Mac versions too

Cheers
Doug

Hey Doug Mate I thought that all the Canon EOS models did automatically count the images taken, mine dose and has always done so.

The first shot recorded was an with IMG_0001 JPG, and it's last shot to date is IMG_ 8154 CR2, being a raw image. all my shots have the image numbered like that until of coarse one changes the name of the pic

I guess it could come in handy when buying a used camera, as the IMG_xxxx can be reset I think.

re number of acutations

Looks like a handy reference.

I am not sure on all bodies, but I noticed the 450D got up to 10,000 acutations, and is now starting that number count again,so I know in my mind its done say 11,045.So it must go 'around the clock' at 10,000.

Not sure if other bodies,go around at 10,000,the site could be useful for someone buying the said bracket of bodies second hand.
