CMOS from FLI

Interestingly, FLI is about to start introducing CMOS cameras and the specs look impressive: http://www.flicamera.com/spec_sheets...L400KL2020.pdf

Sure these will be beyond reach for most of us, but it probably won't be long before other manufacturers such as SBIG, QSI, SX, Atik will follow.

And so it begins...I guess the owners of big KAF chips have to have something to upgrade to when the revolution comes

Interestingly, their QE across the visual band is very consistent, even into the near IR

Woah, these aren't just CMOS, this is sCMOS (scientific CMOS). Looks like this is a second generation sCMOS device too. The dynamic range on these is in the order of 1:40,000 (96 dB). That's 11 magnitudes of brightness range!
