I only need to cut up some UHMWPE, HDPE and PTFE to get it operational Lewis so I think the 27th will be fine...

Thanks Marc, just working out the eyepiece lineup for the scope at the moment.
Going with N22T4, Delos 14, 10 & 6. That should cover all the bases.
Anything longer than 25mm will have me losing light.

Going with Nexus DSC again with 10K encoders.

I dare say it might be a regular at Fair Bairn, the other place makes for a too tiring return drive and Yass's lightdome is getting bigger and brighter,,,,

It's just as well Matt has a sword compared to that little Italian chipolata...

Excalibur is finally free of the stone.....
With only the Nexus DSC and Noctua fan to be added:

Balance worked out as expected (within 25 grams of calculations) with the top end 500grams underweight to allow me to install an optical finder as well as the Telrad....

Thanks Lewis, Richard, Colin and Rob

With the primary mirror focal length just 63.7" or 1618mm the eyepiece height at Zenith is just 1565mm which means it is seated viewing from the horizon to zenith that suits my weary body just fine.

The focuser has been rotated 12º so that when viewing lower objects one is still comfortable

The SIPS Paracorr means the effective focal length is 1860mm making the effective F ratio 4.06.

My plan is for a simple set of eyepieces with the Nagler 22mmT4, Delos 14, 10 & 6 making up a set that will cover from 85x with TF0V of just under 1º to 310x at 0.23º. I also have the APM 30mmUFF for a wider 1.18º albeit with a slight loss of light due to excessive exit pupil....

That blue CF weave is gorgeous - certainly sets it apart.

I also really like the break from wood to all - or mostly - alloys and CF. Thank GOODNESS it wasn't chipboard or MDF

Thanks guys

Mike, there is room to fit the ServoCat quite easily though I probably will not.
I am installing the Nexus DSC and US Digital S6 encoders and will eventually build an aluminium framed equatorial platform....
I have looked at the Osypowski ones and like what I see.... I have lots of aluminium left over (enough to make a another slightly smaller Dob, 12" Excaliburette )
