First image from 100% automatic home Observatory

I am Proud to share this photo, it is my first with 100% automatic operation of the observatory at home

The system is programed to start operation 30 minutes before astronomical dark begins, if Safe conditions are met, it activates relays and powers on the equipment, connects to everything and if all Ok, it opens the roof, slews to a defined position, blind solves and starts the sequence, this sequence includes slew to target, focus, and shoot..... after it has finished, it parked and turned on the Flat panel and shot the flats and then ran the termination sequence to warm up and shut down everything.
Half way in to the sequence the cloudwatcher detected clouds and stopped tracking / closed roof, waited for 2 minutes and after detecting safe condition it resumed the sequence....

It is impressive to see it all happening....

This was a night with one target and flats........ single session, i have adjusted the script for automatic restart the next day and i am also working on a multi target script....

Also added today a secondary routine to close the roof by triggering a relay instead of using the Ascom driver, this, in case of error of timeout after the CLOSE ROOF command...

the photo has 15 x 120s x luminance, Red, Green, Blue, subs.

I am Happy!!!

And so you should be.

Very well done!

I spent half an hour last night just trying to find the thing before I even started.

Cor blimey! That's lovely!

Been meaning to do NGC1365 again since the super-nova. It's such a delightful looking galaxy.

Exciting to get everything running automatically!
I’ll have to look at Voyager, haven’t heard of that one.
