Centaurus A - the new celestial pole

Decided to try something different

Horrible, noisy, light polluted single 6min ISO1600 exposure with Canon 1200D on ED80 but with a "twist".

What do you think?

(It did not quite turn out as well as I hoped, centre is not quite the centre and my "twist" could have been better but hopefully you get what I was trying to do. I will retry once the bloody clouds go away )

Not sure what you're trying to do there and how you're doing it, but that's not at all bad detail on Hamburger 5128 for 6 mins worth of data.

Usually the star trail go around the celestial pole and the shots are done on widefileds. I was trying to get the star trailing with the Centaurus A in the centre to set better focus on the galaxy.

But could not get them long enough without affecting the galaxy.

As I said it didn't turn out quite as I wanted. The idea was to "frame" the galaxy with the star trails and to try to lead the eye to the galaxy.

And to correct a mistake, it was a 5min exposure, not 6min.
