Moon Jupiter conjunction

Got up early this morning knowing we had clear skies for a change, so that I could capture the conjunction. Was a lovely morning to be out there and managed a few images, with a surprise. Looked up from the camera at one stage in time to spot a moving line of light, travelling from SW to SE about 15 deg altitude. Elon Musks' Starlink 5 satellite train, bugger. Interesting for curiousity value for now but would rather they weren't being sent up to pollute our skies.
Details, Canon 450d, Zuiko 28mm lens 5.0 seconds @ 1600 iso. For the locals, taken from the tip of Kuradgi, Sandon Point.

Excellent results there Jeff.

Well done.

I agree with you about Elon's satellites clogging up the night sky.
PITB.

(Their response..."We'll just paint one black & see how that works out.")

Geeze! That is sure to work......for a while, until the ultra-"violent" burns all the paint off.

Too many thousands, I have a series of images following on from this one spanning about 5 minutes and the Starlink trail can be seen in all of them, but getting fainter.

I heard 11,000 being thrown around and that's just from Elon. Apparently other companies have plans for sending their own fleet up.
