Very effective picture Al. Nicely done.

Here's a couple that I considered. One is over 22 years old and was taken on film. It's a scan of a print that has faded and coloured with age, but it still says "Fun" to me. It's my son discovering the joys of mud and puddles for the first time when he was two.

The other one is a friend trying to pass a rival in their dirt karts. There are several clubs in WA and they certainly enjoy their sport.

Hi Everyone ,
I feel like a newbie in this section as it's the first time I'm taking part in this, despite being part of this forum for so long. I hope to do more, I do love a challenge! These pics aren't of this month, but in future, shall endeavor to do so .

I posted my entry into the May challenge, it was so hard deciding which one to choose that was worthy . Anyhow, here's a few others. The condensation trails - to me anyway - makes it look like the planes are dancing throwing veils around . Aviation fun!!!

DETAILS:

Thai Airways 787-8 Dreamliner arriving into Brisbane captured with a light aircraft close by at Archerfield Airport.

China Southern Airlines A330-3 as flight CZ381, Reg# B-5966. Had some subtle & lovely irridescent condensation spraying off its wings and extremely bright contrails, was so spectacular! Throw a Crow in there for extra drama haha. And long shadowing streak being thrown off its tail. Captured 28/10/16 @ 8.19am.

EVA AIR A330 "Hello Kitty Speed Puff" livery B-16309 as flight BR315 on final for runway 01. Wearing extra *bling* *bling* !!!
Captured from Archerfield 14th JAN-2017.

China Eastern Airlines "Sky Team" livery A330 arriving into Brisbane in a spectacular blaze of colour. The colourful show ran the whole length from west to north east. The colour is untouched & is straight from the camera, I've only cropped it. There's even a condensation trail on her nose wheel, so cute! Flight MU715, Reg#B-6538 - Shanghai to Brisbane for 9:38am arrival.

Great shots Suzy!
and yes, the planes do look like they are flitting around having fun.

Thanks for contributing, and maybe you can spread some more encouragement for more IISers to join the fun of our monthly photo challenge in your facebook posts?

Hope to see regular contributions from you, now you know where we live (so to speak)

Hi Suzy. Nice shots of the planes.

My brother would certainly agree with your feelings about aviation being fun! He's something of a fanatic.

He used to fly 747s for Cathay Pacific but when he retired he spent nine years building a full scale replica of a World War I Sopwith Snipe biplane in his garage, using original War Office plans. He did an amazing job of it and now flies it. At this year's Avalon airshow (near Melbourne) he was part of the opening ceremony, flying down the strip flat out with a modern fighter jet, almost at stall speed, flying nearby. Unfortunately I wasn't there to see it.

Here's a 1min 24secs clip of its very first flight.

More fun....

I have a weakness for buying guitars. I'm pretty weak at playing them too, but it is a lot of fun trying....

The little New Holland Honeyeater also looked like it was having fun in the birdbath.

Hi Chris, wow-eee, thank you so much for those pics and I really enjoyed seeing the video. Gee he takes his love of aviation to a whole new level!
The guitar photo would be amazing in a large frame. It sounds like an expensive hobby. My daughter has a love of guitar as well, having an acoustic and electric. Though not a collector, that's it .

PC (what do people call you?), thank you. I'll try and post, it all depends on how hard the challenge is going to be I guess , and I'm still learning. I love that this challenge encourages us to get out there to discover, learn along the way, and have some fun. Your warm welcome is very much appreciated.

That's a great idea, I'll put a call out on our fb page and see if I can get more people involved. I'll be glad to be of help, so here's hoping! I'll pop something up tomorrow, just in time for the June challenge .
