A previously undiscovered nebula! ....err..or maybe just a stray reflection off a filter.

Nice colour in M83 and good catch on the moving object, Peter. No doubt it's a very sharp image but hard to confirm at 33% resolution

Cheers,
Rick.

Much appreciated Ted. I would have added to the data last night , but decided it was too hot...the camera was struggling to get to -25....30 degrees at night..in April!? That’s just nuts

Interesting. I watched the vid many times and even marked star positions on my monitor between frames. Stars are rock solid yet the minor planet curves ever so slightly. Unusual. It sure is ripping along!

Must be Nibiru... (hey, the kooks have started that carp again)

Right click on the animation....(scroll to the bottom of the page if you didn’t find it! )

Save as an .mp4.....it should play with windows media or quicktime.

OK - Now that I'm back home with my proper computer I can see it.
Well done.

cheers
Allan

How can anyone get tired of this? I still spend an hour at the eyepiece on this whenever it's above the horizon. I love tracing the detail in the dust lanes, and thanks to Peter I can do it on my monitor now too! Very nice southern pinwheel.
cheers,
Andrew.
