I see local pricing is around $2500, which is way overpriced IMO. For that money you can buy:

Nikon D300 - Pro-level AF + weather sealed camera (50D has consumer AF and partial weather sealing).
Canon 5D - Full frame camera.

I am also skeptical about the implied big improvement from "gapless microlenses". Anyway, didn't Nikon claim this with their D300 and D3 sensors last year?
