Attached plot shows position on 26th this month.. tomorrow evening it will be in the first frame (circle indicates 8x50 binocular FOV)

Is that near Sigma Octans? So almost due south?

This is between Psi and nu Ursae Majoris.. North side.

Hardly worth the trouble... through Melbourne light pollution.
Canon 400mm F2.8@f/4, UVIR, LP filter, Canon 60D, 7xstack 15sec, ISO800

It’s a toughie for sure. It’s fading in brightness quite quickly, and with the Moon around and low elevation makes it tricky.

It is climbing towards Arcturus though...
