Callistro reappears 7.47 tonight (20th Aug)

Callistro is in Jupiter's shadow as evening falls and reappears from its eclipse at 7.47pm.

Io begins a transit at 8.44 and its shadow ingresses onto Jupiter at 9.35pm.

Enjoy the views, hope the weather up there is better for you than what we are getting down here, we have westerly winds gusting up to 60/70 kmh , not conducive to telescope use .
Am looking forward to the 28th / 29th when we have another ( and last for the season !) transit of Callisto and shadow , followed up on the evening of the 29th by an Ganymede and shadow transit.
