To avoid future problems with NEQ6 power supply failure, I'd like to fit an immobilised, short (3-5 cm) male + female (standard 2.1 mm tip, centre positive) power connection lead to the 12V input socket on the mount.
This would stop flexing affecting the connection to the main circuit board (which I just replaced for $230!).
If anyone can do this, I'm happy to pay for parts and generously for your time.
It only involves bog-standard bits and soldering!

Dean, soldering is quite an easy task, and it would be quite easy for you to do yourself, and a whole lot cheaper and rewarding, than getting someone in to do it for you.
I was a shockingly bad solderer. I sat down with old radios etc, desoldered, resoldered. It's how I learnt to now be a pretty good one. Heck, I even resoldered a micro USB into a Samsung phone recently - that was tricky considering!
Now I have to learn to weld. That's next, along with milling and turning metal and wood.
Thanks to all!
Phil (PhilTas) in Darwin has agreed to spark up his soldering iron (and even have a go at the faulty mother board).
So, Damian - I appreciate your offer (and I live in Hawthorndene!), but all is under control.
Cheers again!
