Spaghettified Star - a new term

Space.com has an interesting story and animation of a star being "spaghettified" by a black hole, resulting in a super-bright-supernova.

Come now, a "spaghettified" star is really one that has been touched by His Noodly Appendage. A Black Hole is actually where His Noodly Appendage has punched right through the celestial canopy.

Sounds like it should be called a SDQ (Short Duration Quasar) as it is closer to being a quasar than a supernova.

I am rather surprised that the animation has sound effects for an event that occured in the vacuum of space...

Ah, but we don't need the reality, we need the pop and whizz
