Somedays you can get lucky.I thought its about time the Sun set over Mt Warning from my local vantage point. After getting this I had to pull out the Bino's to find the 1.6% Waxing Crescent which was also setting slightly to the left of Mt Warning. Smoke drifted over adding to the effect. I had 2 cameras set up the 7dmkii with a 100-400 at about 200mm and the 1DXmkii with the 600mm lens for a closer shot. I was pretty happy with the results but on the way home decided to check out the Windmill for a Milkyway shot but unfortunately it has been moved into an unfavourable position. It was the I saw the Satellite at which time I had no idea what it was. I took a close up with the 600 at ISO 50,000+ then some wide angle shots with a 14mm.When I returned home I put a 105mm lens on for a better perspective.
All in all a great end to the week. Hope you enjoy the pics.
