AZ-EQ6 Guide error

Hi All,

I have just bought an AZ-EQ6 and am running a GSO RC8 on it. I guide through an off-axis guider (ZWO 120mm).

Guiding is generally good except that ever 455 sec (roughly) I get a blip (see attached image).

I can't see anything physically wrong with the mount.

Any ideas?

Every 455s is a single rotation of the worm so I’d suggest that one part of the worm has a slight bump or something that’s causing it.

The work gear is 478.7s apparently so that sounds about right.

I don't want to pull apart a brand new mount so it might have to be a warranty job.

In the meantime, I'll 'exercise' it. Maybe it is a bit of swarf stuck in there....

Hey Ben. Did you get it all sorted out? What was the outcome?
