Nice batteryless tracker, but for north only ?

I found this on astroshop.eu (could not find it on myastroshop.com.au, which is presumably the same company, but maybe for this reason) a wind-up tracker for $159 (A$240) but it is mentioned to be used "anywhere in the northern hemisphere".

Strange, a simple extra cogwheel in a wind-up tracking motor can reverse the rotation direction, why they don't use this in a travel mount is a mystery.
