Through the barbed wire fence

This old ruin sits not far to the north of Melbourne's Tullamarine airport. Not sure how old the little cottage is but it would have to be 100 yrs plus. With the way land is being chewed up around Melbourne at the moment, it won't be long before this area will probably become another housing estate.

I thought I'd capture a peaceful moment at night to remember the old relic from the past.
I struggled to capture this shot as the time I shot it was at the end of a weekend and the amount of passing traffic both on the ground and in the air limited my exposure times. I had to wait for a break to release the shutter to avoid headlights and aircraft light trails.

Canon 550d, 30 seconds @ 800 ISO. Tokina 11 - 16mm lens set at 11mm, f 4.
