Eyepiece and visual back

Hi Tony

Additional to other quiery:

I am considering a 2 inch visual back for the edge 8.

Was it ment to come with a diagonal at all?

Have you used the 23mm axiom with it? Any good?

The 23mm Axiom works well with most scopes. It is a high quality eyepiece. Celestron appear to have moved to a lower cost producer for the similar looking Luminos line; the 23mm Luminos shows edge of field brightening and highly aberrated outer field absent in the Axiom.

Assuming you have a 2" diagonal for the refractor I have a 2" baader clicklock visual back that would suit or you can get a cheaper 2" visual back from Bintel, etc.

The edge 8" sells new with a cheap 1.25" diagonal but I couldn't find it which is why no diagonal was included in the ad.
