He was a real character & much loved the whole world over.

He looked up & waved at us, way back in 1953? when he & the Queen visited Wollongong.
I was 8 YO at the time.

All the family were standing on the upstairs balcony, draped with a heap of Union Jacks & bunting galore.

Will be sadly missed.

Yea true, he could have hung on and his misses would have sent him a 100 year old certificate for reaching that mile stone
