BOM Rain Radar

Hello,
A query about BOM radar display fro Perth.

The BOM radar site Perth 512 and 256 always show rays to the south and southwest of Perth.
The Cloudfreenight SW WA shows the same rain distribution (just now) but no extraneous rays.
Is there an explanation for the BOM rays?

The Cloud Free Night radar images for Perth also show the "rays to the south and southwest o Perth". From the BoM's radar information: "A local phenomenon which has been observed occasionally is that of false mirror echoes approaching the radar from the southeast as an intense cold front approaches from the south west"

The rays are probably reflections off a terrestrial object with a large flat surface, either in that direction from the radar or opposite (180 degrees).

Open Google Earth, locate the radar and the building will probably be evident.
