Sorry for the short notice.
The Erwin van der Velden (EVDV) Memorial Astro-Imaging Competition will be held once again at this year's Queensland Astrofest.
Images will be displayed electronically via a multimedia display in the Dining Hall.
The Categories are:
Through a Telescope - 400mm or greater.
Non-Telescope - must not be taken through a telescope and must be less than 400mm focal length.
Photos may be deep field, wide angle, planetary, lunar or special interest involving an astronomical object or theme for either category.
Ideally I would like to have photos printed for display as this would be an advantage for voting.
The hard copies can be brought up during the Astrofest, however I need to have the electronic versions by Wednesday next week.
Please PM me your interest and I will give you my email address so you can send your image. If you know of anyone interested in submitting an image, please let them know.
