Mars 26 Aug 2018

Hi all,

Nice steady conditions last night despite high level cirrus cover. Mars is back in Sagittarius and receding fast... just as the global storm finally clears.

Imaged for one hour with the first 15 minutes of Monday morning yielding best results. Bright full Moon night helping with equipment setup (took the scope out at 8pm).

Martian Prime Meridian is centred in this view with Sinus Meridiani now free of dust. South Polar Cap is very bright compared to its northern counterpart. Mare Erythraeum and dusty Argyre basin are also quite prominent. Hope good weather hangs around for the next couple of days.

Cheers,
Seb
