Yep .... looked seriously at an EF 70-200 f/2.8 L IS USM + EF 2x II extender from DD in Sydney last night .... (still advertised at $2199 for 70-200 and $415 for the extender) whereas B&H have Grey Market 70-200 f/2.8 L IS USM at 1649 USD and extenders for 300 USD , add shipping 120 USD (say)
B&H 70-200 = 1649
shipping = 120

gives = 1819 USD convert to AUD (based on .67 USD / AUD) ==> $2714 ex GST .... not good .
Will be on the dognbone this avo to get a handle on DD's current price on the lens and the 2x II extender. Will let you all know if their webadvertised prices is still valid, in which case I'll likely buy a 70-200 f/2.8 L IS USM immediately despite being over my budget of $2000 since the AUD is not going to go back up as fast (to my target of > 0.90 USD/AUD) as it dropped or anytime soon (with market % rates falling , and the doom and gloom globally).
