Hi friends,
This image of Melotte 15, inside the Heart nebula, was an exercise in patience. The weather "up here" (northern Indiana, USA) has been truly terrible for nearly 2 months now. This image consists of data take an hour or three at a time over the course of 4 weeks in between bursts of snow and clouds. Even so, the seeing conditions and transparency were pretty bad throughout.
Even so, the image turned out better than I expected. This is a SHO narrowband image taken with my dual imaging setup:
CFF250RC at f/6 - Ha/OIII
SV80ST - SII/RGB
I hope you like it!
