ASI290mini won't have such problem, because the PCB is new design and much advanced than 120mm/mc camera. As you know 120mm/mc cannot use ASICAP, but mini camera can do that, just like our USB3.0 cameras.

So basically they said that the new ASI290 mini is a redesign and that it should not have the same compatibility issues as the old ASI120.
