A quick look at Star Walk on my iPhone had me thinking about NGC2359.
Now, this is a bit small for my setup and although I can drop the field reducer / flattener from my system, it is still very small in my frame. I also wondered what may result from my un-modified 1000D could make compared to those brilliant CCD mono systems with the fancy filters etc.
I had hoped to capture using at least 4 minute subs, but with the highway upgrade came those horrid orange lights and sans LP filter I found I can only get around 200 seconds before the sky glow pushes the histogram too far.
Here is my effort 26x200 seconds 1600 ISO with 9 darks no flats or bias frames.
Cropped a bit but didn't want to go further for fear of losing resolution and sharpness. Processed with Nebulosity 3, Star Tools and tweaked with Photoshop CC.
