If you have a
look at this thread I posted today the images were taken with an ATiK 16IC (basically a fancily modded webcam) and Steves EOS to T thread (suited to the SBIG but works well with the ATiK) and a 25-80 zoom lens. The exposures were around the 0.01sec mark. For what you want to do though, as Mike has said you will need to be able to go for alot longer
