There will still be a difference, but it's certainly not as much as if you take the price on the overseas website only.

I bought my ASI 2600 MC direct from ZWO when they had the $200 USD discount. ZWO also offers free shipping via DHL and it arrived within 3 days once it came off backorder. YMMV but mine sailed through customs without GST or Import duty and came in at AUD 2500 landed.
