So you are aware, The lid off a pringles container works well as a white balance cap.. put it on a canon body over the lens mount (with no lens attached) and take an image in the area you're going to be shooting, and set that as you're custom white balance shot, remove the pringles cap, attach lens and fire away...
You're always looking for cheaper options for things... $2.50 for a white balance cap that works perfectly is about as cheap as your going to get.
