I used one of the Photix TC80N3 clones off ebay, it was brilliant.. I recently got a good deal on a 1DmkIII with a TC80N3 and find the canon one to be no different except it feels of better construction.. its a bit heavier, and the buttons are easier to access, however function is exactly the same...
A great buy for the price..
