And let's not leave binoculars without considering Zoomies, quite an interesting experience. These are the telemarketed things that look like the ultimate in nerd glasses! Optics surprisingly good for a toy but has fringing on bright objects as you'd expect. Focus is quite sharp. Field of around 10-degrees but rather than a widefield experience like most binoculars the view is small & reminiscent of an eyepiece one. Magnification is low but enough to see things like the dark lanes in the Eta Carinae Nebula. What makes the experience very different is that it is hands-free and that your head and eyes control what you see. No shake, no effort, no adjusting binocular mounts etc. Wherever you look you see sky, great for cruising the Milky Way. Quite weird.

Cheers -
