I have my observatory on a good friends 140 acres just outside Canberra, I travel out to image about 2-3 nights a month.
This is my
power system, that runs
my observatory. I run an extension cord from the shed to the dome each visit - easy and for the last 6 years has never let me down, running mount, cameras, dew heaters, lappie, low wattage desk light etc as well as my
12" Starwatcher GOTO dob and dew heaters on many nights, can do all this over two long winter nights in a row
I have since replaced the two 150amhr AGM batteries with a single 300 amphr AGM version, everything else the same
