For the first time in ages the clouds parted and the seeing was very good (just shy of excellent) and it was a weekend!! I got some therapy for my collimation OCD and officially finished tweaking it in early July. This is the first time I've been able to start an imaging project (work, weather, seeing). Soooooo ... I started and 40 minutes and 2 subs later the clouds came back and stayed .

It rained all this week and if I'm lucky maybe I'll get a clear night on Saturday ... but I'm not holding my breath. The only good news out of this frustration was that I was able to confirm good collimation under good seeing conditions. See raw "extremities" image below. Remember, this is at 0.59 arcsec/pixel! Chuffed is the word!
